Do the side doors open?
Yes. The CMX Side Window canopy includes lift-up gullwing doors on both sides, plus a lift-up rear door.
Are the side windows opening or fixed?
The side windows are sliding glass windows, allowing controlled airflow and ventilation when opened.
Is the front window opening?
No. The front window is fixed glass, designed for visibility, weather protection and structural simplicity.
Are the sliding windows useful for dogs?
Yes. Sliding side windows provide light and airflow and are popular with dog owners. Pets must still be properly restrained, monitored and transported according to weather and safety conditions.
Is the CMX canopy waterproof?
The canopy carries an IP65 water-resistance rating and is designed to resist rain and water spray when properly assembled, installed and sealed. The pickup bed itself is not waterproof by design, and water can still enter through the factory tailgate, seams and openings.
Can I add roof racks or a rooftop tent?
Yes. Optional low-profile and high-profile CMX rack systems are available. All roof-mounted loads must remain within the canopy, rack and vehicle ratings.
Can I get solid side doors instead?
Yes. Customers who prefer exterior gear mounting can choose the CMX Side MOLLE Canopy.
Does the CMX arrive fully assembled?
No. The CMX is a modular canopy that requires assembly. Cap-it offers professional assembly and installation, or capable customers can follow the available assembly and installation video.
